Community Guidelines

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Gustball is designed to be a fun, creative, and welcoming place for players to build, play, publish, and share levels. These Community Guidelines explain the behavior and content we expect from everyone using Gustball’s online features, including community levels, usernames, profiles, comments, leaderboards, and other shared spaces.

By using Gustball’s community features, you agree to follow these guidelines, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

1. Be Respectful

Treat other players with respect. Do not harass, threaten, bully, stalk, impersonate, shame, or abuse other users. Friendly competition is welcome; targeted hostility is not.

2. Keep Content Appropriate

Do not upload, publish, or share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, abusive, graphically violent, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate for the Gustball community.

This applies to custom levels, level titles, descriptions, usernames, comments, profile content, screenshots, and any other user-created content.

3. No Hate, Harassment, or Discrimination

Content or behavior that attacks, demeans, or excludes people based on personal characteristics or identity is not allowed. This includes hate speech, slurs, threats, dehumanizing language, or encouraging harm against individuals or groups.

4. No Cheating or Exploits

Do not cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate leaderboards, use unauthorized tools, automate gameplay, abuse matchmaking or community systems, or interfere with Gustball’s servers, accounts, or services.

If you discover a bug or exploit, please report it instead of using it to gain an unfair advantage.

5. Respect Other People’s Work

Do not upload content that infringes someone else’s copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other rights. Only publish levels, names, images, or other materials that you created yourself, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally allowed to share.

6. No Malicious or Disruptive Content

Do not upload levels or content designed to crash the game, corrupt data, exploit vulnerabilities, spread malware, mislead players, or disrupt the experience of other users.

7. Use Community Features Honestly

Do not spam, artificially inflate likes, ratings, downloads, comments, or leaderboard scores, create fake accounts to manipulate community systems, or otherwise misuse Gustball’s sharing and discovery features.

8. Reporting Problems

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it using the in-game reporting tools when available, or contact us at [email protected].

When reporting an issue, include as much detail as possible, such as the username, level name, approximate time, screenshots, or a short description of what happened.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

We may review, remove, restrict, or hide content that violates these guidelines or creates risk for Gustball, its players, or its services.

Depending on the situation, enforcement actions may include warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, leaderboard resets, account suspension, or permanent bans.

10. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may contact us at [email protected]. Appeals should include your username, the action you are appealing, and any relevant context.

11. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as Gustball grows. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
